Title Tag: Keep it Short and Sweet
The title tag is one of the most important pieces of meta data on your site – and it will go a long way in improving your web traffic and business leads. Your title tag is the “title” of the page that appears in search engines when potential visitors type in certain keywords.
The title tag should be kept under 70 characters as best practice, but it optimized at its finest when keywords have been incorporated. This means that before you sit down to write your title tag, their needs to be quality keyword research done in order to reach the correct target audience.

Basically, it’s often times the last thing a potential web visitor will see before he or she makes the decision to click on your website. It’s importance shouldn’t be undermined, as it’s your last chance to make the impression you want to make to drive more traffic to your website.
Image Tags: People Don’t Just Search For Text

But how are people finding those images? It all goes back to keyword research again. The best way for people to find images is to search through them using a search function on a search engine, and these are best optimized using the keywords you hope people are searching through your website with.
A last note about keywords and SEO before I go – they need to be relevant to the audience first, but they also have to be relevant to your business.
For example, you wouldn’t thread keywords throughout your website that weren’t relevant to your business. If your main market is teenagers, and you read a statistic that 45 percent of teen girls are searching for Taylor Swift online and you’re a soft drink company, you shouldn’t spend your time stuffing your website with the keyword “Taylor Swift.”
Even though your audience is active on these pages, they are not in the correct buyer mindset when they are searching for this keyword and will therefore not be interested in your web page.
